Interstate travel centers
Kunj Construction is developing five interstate travel centers across Georgia — one on each of the state's five major interstate corridors — representing $35 million in new development over the next two years. It is the largest single program in the company's history, and it brings Kunj's built portfolio to $188.5 million since 1992.
The record behind it
Kunj Construction acquires the land, secures the entitlements, builds the project, leases it, and manages it. Every site in the portfolio was developed in-house and most are still owned today. Financing has been structured through federal historic tax credits, EB-5 capital, and conventional bank debt with Capital City Bank, Cadence Bank, and Bank OZK. The travel center program is the same capability applied at larger scale.
Five corridors
One site on each of Georgia's five major interstate corridors. All five are secured and under control. Specific locations are disclosed to franchise, lender, and capital partners under NDA.
Atlanta to Macon to Valdosta — Georgia's primary north-south freight and travel spine.
Site secured.Macon to Savannah — the port corridor, carrying container freight out of the fastest-growing port on the East Coast.

Passenger and commercial fueling, a quick-service restaurant, and retail, on parcels sized for the traffic each corridor carries. Kunj has built 23 fuel retail sites and 10 ground-up restaurants for national brands including Exxon, Chevron, Shell, BP, Texaco, Dairy Queen, and Subway. Travel centers combine both into one asset.
Why travel centers, and why now
Interstate travel centers sit at the intersection of everything Kunj already does — fuel retail, ground-up restaurant development, and long-term site ownership. Georgia's interstate corridors carry growing freight and passenger volume, and the sites that work are the ones secured early, entitled correctly, and built by an operator who will still own them in twenty years. Kunj develops, builds, leases, and manages its own sites. That is the whole reason this program exists.
